How your order travels.

Flat-packed components ship nationwide. Assembled pieces are delivered by us, locally. And one number is worth knowing before you configure: anything with an edge over 60″ ships freight, quoted person-to-person instead of charged at checkout.

What you pay at checkout

Checkout charges our packing & handling — the crate, the corner protection, the labor of packing solid hardwood so it arrives the way it left. There are three tiers, picked automatically from your order's real dimensions: small parcel (samples and hardware), parcel (longest edge to 48″), and oversize crate (48″ to 60″).

Carrier shipping is billed at cost when your order is crated and rated — no markup. We don't publish guessed carrier rates, and we don't round them up — the carrier invoice line on your order is the carrier's number.

The size boundaries

Longest edge to 48″ — ships standard parcel.
48″ to 60″ — ships in an oversize crate.
Over 60″ on any edge — ships freight. The cart will route your order to the quote form instead of checkout, and we come back with a real freight number before anything is charged. If you're planning a tall pantry end panel or a long run of trim, expect this route — it's normal, and it usually takes a day.

Assembled pieces

Boxes ordered assembled don't ship at all — we deliver them ourselves within Salt Lake City & the Wasatch Front. Solid-wood casework that's already glued up has no business in a parcel network. If you're outside the delivery area, order flat-packed: the assembly guide is a twenty-minute read, and the joinery only fits one way.

Lead times

Everything is made to order. The current lead time is shown on every product page and on the shop banner — it's the same number our scheduling works from, not a marketing estimate. Orders ship complete: if you order six boxes, they travel together.

When it arrives

Open your delivery as soon as you can — ideally while the driver is still there. Almost every crate opens to exactly what you ordered: your components, the printed spec sheet with your dimensions, and the illustrated assembly guide, ready to get you building the same day.

If anything was damaged in transit, note it on the delivery receipt, photograph what worries you, and tell us within 7 days — with photos we can put things right with the carrier and with you, quickly. The full promise is on the returns & remakes page.
