Measure the room.

Made-to-order parts fit the numbers you give us. Fifteen careful minutes with a tape now prevents the one mistake that can't be sanded off later. Measure in the units you prefer.

Units
1 · Wall spans

Measure each wall the run touches twice: once along the floor, once at counter height (36″ up). If the two differ, the wall is out of square — good to know now, not on install day.

2 · Ceiling

Check corners and under soffits — ceilings are rarely level.

3 · Openings & clearances

Widths of appliance openings inside the run (range, fridge, dishwasher), the narrowest doorway on the delivery path, and the clear walkway in front of the run.
